Gloucestershire College Wins Educator of the Year at The National Cyber Awards 2026
The prestigious award was presented at the National Cyber Awards ceremony at the Royal Lancaster, London, on Monday 28 September 2026, bringing together leading organisations, professionals and educators from across the UK’s cyber security community.
The Educator of the Year category recognises an outstanding individual or organisation that has made a significant impact in cybersecurity education and training. It celebrates innovative teaching, measurable impact on learners, and a commitment to advancing cyber knowledge, skills and awareness across education and professional development.

Our computing and cyber provision has gone from strength to strength, and this award, alongside our Technical Excellence College (DigiTEC) status, CyberFirst Gold and Tech Industry Gold accreditations, is a fantastic recognition of the work our teams are doing to develop the skills employers need, both locally and nationally.
“Being at the heart of the Cheltenham Cyber Cluster, with GCHQ and the Golden Valley Cyber Park on our doorstep, gives our learners unparalleled opportunities to engage with employers and experience real-world cyber security. Our long-standing partnerships across education, government and the private sector are a large part of what makes our provision special.
“Most importantly, this award is a huge thank you to our amazing Cyber, Computing and DigiTEC teams, across both full-time and apprenticeship provision. It recognises the passion, expertise and commitment they bring every day, and the impact they are having on our learners, apprentices and the wider tech community.”
Gloucestershire College’s growing role within the cyber ecosystem supports its ambition to be a strategic skills partner for Gloucestershire and the wider UK, helping to develop the workforce needed to meet the demands of a rapidly evolving cyber and digital economy.
The College’s long-standing partnerships across education, government and the private sector, including relationships with CyNam, NCSC, Hub8/Plexal and the Gloucestershire Local Skills Improvement Plan (LSIP) bring learning to life, giving students and apprentices opportunities to engage with industry, build professional networks and apply their skills to real-world challenges.
