Working to a theme, explore interview techniques for video production purposes and creative expression and a chance to screen your work at the end of the course.
On this course you will work through a particular theme with a video producer, exploring how you can develop initial ideas into your own final interview recordings. The tutor will set the theme at the beginning of the course and you will be supported to respond in your own way. We will use a variety of techniques, which will enable you to record and edit a series of interviews and supporting footage. The skills gained from this course can be transferred to documentary filmmaking and/or interviews for promotional business purposes.
You will need to bring an open mind to explore ways in which you can use video to convey information and opinions whilst informing and engaging an audience.
On the course you will also be introduced to a variety of topics to introduce you to the wider world of video production.
You will need to bring along the below:
Essentials: camera (preferably DSLR) (but can be smart phone) & SD card
Optional: tripod, audio recording equipment, lights
Our general recreational classes are for those aged 19 (as at 31st August 2019) and over.
This course is suitable for beginners new to video production and will focus on both the creative and editorial process with coverage of entry level technical skills. The content of the course is ideal for anyone interested in video production as a hobby or a creative professional who wishes to broaden their skills in video production for business or creative purposes.
