Preparation for Results Day
To make sure you receive your results without any delays, follow these quick steps:
Check your email
-
Make sure your email address is active and that you can log in without any problems.
-
Clear out your inbox so it isn’t full — important emails could bounce if there’s no space.
Update your details if needed
-
If your email address has changed recently, tell us now.
-
Results Days are very busy, and delays can happen if we don’t have your correct contact details in advance.
Reminder: How and when you get your results depends on your course
Not all courses release results the same way — how and when you receive yours depends on the type of qualification you’re studying.
-
Some courses with a majority of internally assessed units may issue results earlier.
-
Others, like GCSEs, BTECs, or T Levels, follow national Results Day release dates.

Results Day FAQs
-
Not all qualifications follow the same process, which means results can be issued at different times depending on your course. Here’s how it works:
Qualifications with internal assessments
Many vocational courses are assessed internally. These are shared with our Exams Team and processed by our Exams Team during the summer, so results and certificates are often ready before Results Day.Qualifications with external assessments completed during the course
Some vocational courses include externally assessed components completed throughout the year. Once these are marked, along with any internal assessments, your academic and exams teams can finalise and confirm your overall result. This means your full qualification can be awarded before official Results Days.Qualifications with external exams (e.g., GCSEs, BTECs)
These qualifications rely on nationally scheduled exam boards to release results. We can only issue your results once they are officially published, which typically happens on the national Results Days in August. -
Thursday 14 August 2025 – Level 3 courses (e.g., T Levels, BTECs, Maths in Context, vocational qualifications)
Thursday 21 August 2025 – GCSEs, Level 1 & Level 2 courses Results will be emailed to your student email address from 9:00am.
Please note: Results cannot be collected in person from any campus.
-
Check your inbox from 9:00am on Results Day. We’ll send your results to the personal email address you gave us, so keep an eye out for it.

Grade boundaries show the minimum number of marks needed to achieve each grade in an assessment. They help explain how your final grade was calculated based on your performance.
For some awarding bodies, grade boundaries for external assessments are released alongside results on Results Day. These can give you a clearer understanding of how your marks relate to your final grade.
For other qualifications, grade boundaries may not be published in the same way. If you’d like to see them or need more information, please speak to your course tutor — they’ll be able to advise you and provide the relevant details.
-
Unfortunately, no. For legal and data protection reasons, we can only release results directly to the student who took the qualification.
However, with the student’s written permission, we may be able to re-send results or certificates to a parent or carer. Please contact us for more information on how to arrange this.
