Apprenticeship Spotlight: ICT Level 3

Apprenticeship Spotlight: ICT Level 3
Apprenticeship Spotlight: ICT Level 3

Our ICT Level 3 apprenticeships begin in April and offer employers an excellent opportunity to bring new talent into their business.

An apprentice will support your team by providing technical support to internal and external customers, diagnosing ICT issues, resolving faults and applying essential security policies. At the same time, they will gain up to date skills and a recognised qualification.

This apprenticeship is ideal for developing new or existing staff in roles such as first line support, IT support analyst, data centre support technician, network operative or field operative.

Benefits of employing an ICT Level 3 Apprentice

Develop skills within your team

Apprentices bring enthusiasm, curiosity and new ways of thinking. Their fresh perspectives can inspire creative improvements in your systems, processes and technical support approach while they work toward their qualification.

Benefits of employing an ICT Level 3 Apprentice

Boost staff retention and productivity

Supporting an apprentice shows your commitment to professional development. This helps improve staff motivation, loyalty and productivity while reducing skills gaps across your business.

Recruit talent cost effectively

Hiring an apprentice is an efficient way to grow your workforce. We can support your apprentice recruitment by advertising your vacancy, pre-screening applicants and providing a shortlist for you to select from – all at no cost. In addition, we have an excellent pool of already pre-screened candidates ready to start a career in IT and looking for an employer.

Funding information

While apprentices’ wages are paid by the employer, training and assessment costs are generously government funded. SMEs may receive up to 100% funding for apprentices aged under 25.
Employers with an annual payroll exceeding £3 million can use their Apprenticeship Levy funds to cover training costs.

Our team can advise you on the available funding and any additional incentives for taking on an apprentice.

Duration and delivery

Apprentices learn while working in your business and through training at the college.

The programme duration is up to 24 months.
