Betaris, a training partner of Gloucestershire College, has been awarded the prestigious Gold Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) Award. The ERS Award recognises organisations that are truly committed to supporting the Armed Forces community.

To achieve Gold status, Betaris demonstrated strong forces-friendly credentials throughout its recruitment and selection processes and reaffirmed its commitment by once again signing the Armed Forces Covenant. Gold Awards are decided at national level and represent the highest accolade an employer can receive in this scheme.

Vanessa Pollok, Executive Director of Betaris (and former RAF), said:

“I am delighted that Betaris has been awarded the Gold Defence Employer Recognition Scheme Award, a truly outstanding demonstration of our organisation’s commitment to supporting the Armed Forces community. The Gold Award is the highest badge of honour for employers, and we are incredibly proud to be recognised as the only training provider in the Southwest to have achieved this honour.”

In addition to supporting mobilisations and having a formal framework in place, Betaris also provides Reservist employees with at least 10 days of fully paid additional leave each year for training, a testament to their practical and ongoing support for the Armed Forces.

The formal award ceremony will take place in November at the Fleet Air Arm Museum in Ilchester and promises to be an inspiring evening.

This achievement marks a significant milestone for Betaris, reaffirming its position as a leader in training and an employer of choice for Reservists seeking meaningful and rewarding careers.
