Local businesses have answered the call to action from Gloucestershire College to provide almost 200 Kickstart Scheme placements for young people across the county. Successful placements are underway but more employers are still encouraged to step forward. Gloucestershire College is looking for businesses of all sizes and sectors to provide six-month work placements for young people aged 16-24-years-old. The government will cover the wage and expenses associated with providing the placement, all employers have to do is provide the opportunity. Read more here.
Two organisations at the forefront of Gloucestershire’s cyber-tech ecosystem have formed a unique partnership that will further supercharge the growth of the sector. Hub8, the operators of the pioneering innovation space in Cheltenham town centre, is launching a brand new, purpose-built innovation space this September in partnership with Gloucestershire College (GC), the region’s leading academic centre for cyber and IT.

Gloucestershire College works with employers across the region to train both new apprentices and current employees through IT and cyber apprenticeships to develop the future of the industry. One of our key employer partners is South Gloucestershire Council and Integra Schools - the trading arm of the Council.
