Meet Cameron, Marketing Apprentice at Hub8

Employer Training and Apprenticeships

“The best thing about apprenticeships is the ability to learn from a variety of different people to give me as much exposure as possible to all elements of marketing. I would recommend an apprenticeship in Cyber co-working space as it gives you access to a wide amount of people and experience.”

Cameron, a 2nd year marketing apprentice at Hub8, chose to do an apprenticeship over going to University for the ability to gain in-work experience, as well as earn money whilst learning. We met up with him to find out more about his job at Hub 8 and his future plans.

“On a daily basis I run the companies’ social channels, run the email marketing suite and help with the day to day running of the office. I fit my studying around my work commitments by having dedicated time for me to do apprenticeship work. Additionally, my Trainer at Gloucestershire College has supported me through bi-weekly catchups to go over any outstanding work and help me solve anything I am unable to do.”

“After I finish my apprenticeship, I hope to stay in a marketing position and gather as much experience in the field as possible with my long-term goal of being able to work for myself as a marketing consultant.”
