This two-day course is ideal for anyone looking to practise and strengthen different aspects of their IT skills. To join this course, you should have previously attended either Computer Confidence – Essential Skills or Building on the Basics, or have a reasonable level of basic computer knowledge.
All learners will develop their file-management skills by using File Explorer to navigate the system, create organised folder structures, and move or delete files and folders. You will also learn how to use the Snipping Tool to capture screen prints as evidence of your work.
The remainder of the course is flexible, giving you the option to choose from a range of scenario-based IT tasks or focus on personal skill areas you’d like to develop. You’ll work independently at your own pace, with tutor support available whenever you need it.

This course will give you self-confidence working on a computer independently or help you feel more confident facing an IT based assessment at interview.
This course is aimed at those who are aged 19 and over (as at 31st August of the academic year you are applying for) who are looking to improve their skills to move into work or progress into more sustainable employment.
