Step into the exciting and dynamic world of Live Events Production. Through hands-on learning, you’ll develop expertise across lighting, sound, broadcasting, crewing, logistics, concerts, corporate functions, esports events and live events operations for theatre.
You will learn the latest techniques that are used in the industry and will have the opportunity to collaborate on a range of projects to bring productions to life.
What you’ll learn
Dive into hands-on workshops to develop knowledge and skills across a range of technical production areas. You’ll have access to industry-standard equipment in our dedicated studio theatre and the opportunity to work across a variety of live events.
You’ll learn the principles of lighting, including rigging, DMX protocols, programming and fixture operation. You’ll also develop an understanding of sound production, covering sound installations, signal routing and live mixing. Broadcasting is included as part of the course, giving you the chance to build skills in camera operation, shot selection, graphic and overlay creation, and streaming protocols.
Live events rely on dedicated production crews working behind the scenes to ensure everything runs smoothly. You’ll gain valuable experience working as part of a production team, supporting fit-ups, get-outs and key areas of production management.
Throughout this course, you’ll work with equipment from industry-leading brands, including ETC, Prolights, Chauvet, Allen & Heath, dB Technologies and Blackmagic.
