Combining academic study with at least 45 days of work experience, you’ll gain in-depth knowledge of business operations and management – with experience to go alongside it!
This is a great foundation for higher-level qualifications or apprenticeships in business management and administration, or for entering employment.
What you’ll learn
You’ll understand and develop the key skills to manage and improve your performance, so that you’re prepared for a range of roles within the business sector. The course has been developed in collaboration with employers, so you can guarantee that you’re learning the latest, most relevant business practices.
With a focus on the essential topics, you'll learn about business organisation, change management, communication, professional audiences and quality and compliance, before specialising in team leadership/management.

With a work placement of at least 45 days, you’ll apply your knowledge in a real-world setting and see how businesses really work. You’ll have a unique opportunity to work on live projects tailored to your chosen path and learn in-demand and up-to-date skills.
Alongside insights from industry professionals, you’ll enhance your understanding of the business world and build a solid foundation for your future.

Assessment
Assessment will be through a combination of examinations, an employer set project and practical assignments. This will all contribute to you being able to demonstrate knowledge and skills throughout this area of study.
Anything else?
As well as learning the theory, you’ll have an industry placement of at least 315 hours, that is related to the business sector.
You will have support whilst at college to arrange this, but it is advised to start thinking about it before your course starts.
