With a blend of academic study and at least 45 days of hands-on experience in a healthcare setting you’ll have the perfect balance of theory and practical learning.
What You’ll Learn
Cover key skills and theory for a successful career in nursing in its many forms. This course has been developed in collaboration with partners from the NHS, so you can guarantee that you’re learning the latest practices.
You’ll explore how the human body works, understand anatomy and physiology, and learn how to carry out clinical tasks. You’ll also develop skills in patient care, learning how to support individuals with their daily activities and assist in clinical assessments.

- Managing Information and Data in Healthcare
- Good Scientific and Clinical Practice
Alongside classroom learning, you’ll gain practical experience in our mock hospital ward, and complete at least 315 hours of work placement in a healthcare setting where you’ll work closely with professional nursing teams.
You’ll get real insight into what it’s like to work in healthcare and how to apply the nursing skills you've learned within professional sector settings.

Assessment
You’ll be assessed through a combination of examinations, an employer set project and practical assignments forming an occupational specialism. This will all contribute to you being able to demonstrate knowledge and skills throughout this area of study.

There is an expectation to complete placement hours on this course so you will need to provide evidence for a DBS check.
You’ll be required to purchase a GC T Level student polo top for your work placement, so that you can be easily identified in your role when out on placement.
