Hospital Ward

The hospital ward is designed to replicate the same environment and equipment students will come across when working in a hospital.

Hospital Ward

The ward is used mainly for T level students during their placement period. You’ll find equipment such as mannequins, task trainers, defibrillators, hospital beds, monitors, and specialized stations for hands-on training, allowing students to practice their skills in a controlled environment.

As many of our students take their placement at Gloucester Royal and Cheltenham General Hospitals, the hospital ward allows them to undertake basic skills training within their teaching programme.

To facilitate the hospital ward, our staff are all qualified clinicians which allows them to impart experience from their careers.

Providing Practical Experience

Students are trained in Moving and Handling in the hospital ward, giving them a 3-year certificate at the end of their course, and ensures the students’ safety out in practice along with being taught the government legislation they will come across in a real-world healthcare setting.
