Through comprehensive transition activities and initial assessments, learners benefit from a personalised curriculum that aligns with their competency levels in independent living and employability skills, following the Preparing for Adulthood framework.

Additionally, pre-Supported Internship and Supported Internship pathways provide opportunities for long-term work placements alongside continued studies, bridging the gap between education and employment.

This provision is designed to help learners reach their full potential, whether academically or professionally, while equipping them with the skills and confidence needed for greater independence in adulthood.

Student Journeys

Louis Adams

The volunteering course really helped me to build my confidence; working on the Supported Internship with the support of the Employment Mentors helped me to prepare a CV. I was thoroughly supported in the work place which helped me secure a job there. It’s nice to earn and have my own money, I am very proud of myself”
