T Levels are a new, two-year qualification designed to give you a head start towards the career you want. They bring classroom learning and an extended industry placement together on a course created with businesses and employers.

T Level students spend 80% of the course in the classroom, learning the skills that employers need. The other 20% is a meaningful industry placement, where they put these skills into action.

Design, Surveying and Planning for Construction T Level

Learn the core knowledge and skills that underpin
many jobs in the construction industry, especially
construction design and surveying. In addition to core
units of health and safety, mathematics and science,
you’ll learn topics that are of significant importance
to employers in the sector, including sustainability,
design, law, project management and technology,
alongside the practical elements of land and building
surveying to provide accurate measurement and
industry quality drawings.

You will be supported by regular visits/virtual tours of
live sites to see how projects are managed behind the
scenes and to give you an insight into the challenges
and opportunities in large scale construction projects.
You’ll also hear industry guest speakers provide
expert views on everything from Building Information
Modelling to legislative updates.

Suitable for anyone wanting a career in
construction, specifically in surveying and design,
civil engineering, building services design, or
hazardous materials surveying.

Health - Supporting the Adult Nursing Team T Level

Working in a real setting, supported by professional expertise, will enable you to make clear connections between theory and practice. You will gain knowledge in skill areas such as assisting adult nursing teams with clinical tasks; supporting individuals in daily activities; and assisting with skin integrity assessments. These skills will be underpinned with knowledge in areas such as anatomy and physiology, healthy nutrition and care routines, understanding the use and calibration of clinical equipment and policy and guidelines.

Assessment will be through examinations, an employer set project and practical assignments.

Digital Support services: Digital Infrastructure T Level

You will develop digital knowledge and skills needed
to be aware of information security and the security
controls that can be used to mitigate security threats
within solutions and services, and use digital evidence
to solve problems. You will learn to apply procedures
and controls to maintain the digital security of an
organisation and its data, and explain, install,
configure, test and manage both physical and
virtual infrastructure.

GC’s Digital Support T Level will be taught in brand
new, state-of-the-art facilities, including our
own departmental network and a wide range of
professional software and hardware resources.

You’ll gain an in-depth knowledge of operations, networking and infrastructure that is:

  • A good foundation for high-level specialised qualifications in networking or infrastructure architecture
  • Preparation for immediate employment at intermediate levels requiring competency in this area
