Important Dates
Throughout your journey from applicant to student on a Full Time Course at Gloucestershire College the Admissions Team will update you on some useful dates and deadlines over the coming weeks/months.
The timeline will start from October 2026 through to October 2027 in line with our application and enrolment cycle.
*Some dates are subject to change or confirmation, but these will be updated and communicated to all applicants.
October 2026 – Applications Open
Applications for courses beginning in September 2027 open from October 2026. We recommend applicants apply early and before our recommended application date of the 31st March, applying before this date gives applicants the best opportunity to enrol with Gloucestershire College.
November – Open Evenings
Throughout November we do have Open Evenings at all our Campuses, this is a perfect way to see the college, meet the tutors and you can also make an application with the Admissions Team.

Find out more about open evenings 31st March – Recommended Application Date
31st March is our recommended application date, we do take applications after this date, but they are considered late. We can never guarantee a place on a course applying before or after 31st March but applying before this date does put your application in a strong position in the enrolment queue.
Applying after 31st March is considered late and we cannot guarantee a place on an applicants GC course choice will be available and they may need to consider alternatives at enrolment.
31st July – Your GC Course Choice Confirmation Deadline
We have a deadline to confirm your GC Course Choice to be fair and transparent to all applicants. If you have applied for more than one full-time course, then we will ask you to confirm your GC Course Choice and we will send plenty of reminders ahead of this deadline!
Your GC Course Choice FAQs 19th August – GCSE Results Day
Make sure you remember this date; this is when you will receive your GCSE Results from your School! We will also need a copy of them but don’t worry, closer to the time we will send you information on how to upload a copy to our pre-enrolment portal.

GCSE Results Day FAQs Monday 23rd August - Tuesday 31st August - Enrolment 2027*
During this week we will enrol applicants who have completed their enrolment steps, we will send you some useful information closer to the time.
This is done remotely, applicants do not need to attend.
Applicants must make sure their pre-enrolment steps are completed by Sunday 22nd August.
Please note - College is shut on Monday 30th August for Bank Holiday.

Term for full-time courses will begin from Wednesday 1st September.
Not all courses will begin on this day, it is timetable dependant, this will be confirmed once you are enrolled.
Wednesday 29th September – Last Day to Apply for September 2027*
The last day to apply for a Full-Time course beginning in September 2027 will be Wednesday 29th September.
Friday 1st October – Last Day to Enrol for September 2027*
The last day to enrol for a full-time course that begins in September 2027 is Friday 1st October.
