GC is a modern career focused organisation. We want to be the very best we can be for our students; we measure our success by their success.

GC has a big impact on the skills and education of students within Gloucestershire and we know that to continue to be successful it is essential that we have high performing individuals to support the overall vision and strategy of the College.

With this in mind, we recruit based on our core values and believe that trust, respect and civility bring out the best in people. We work to promote a culture of working collaboratively across the College, utilising the different knowledge, skills and experiences we each have, to continuously improve everything we do for the benefit of our students.

We want to continue our transformation into an agile, responsive organisation which is recognised in the community for its contribution; focuses on high quality teaching, learning, assessment and support for students; develops new areas of business to offset current funding cuts; and which focuses activities to deliver its outcomes.

Our recruitment and selection process reflects our values at every stage, to ensure that we not only recruit the very best talent, but also people who fit the culture of the College and believe in our values.

Situational judgement tests (SJTs) allow us to identify like-minded people that will support the College’s vision and values. As part of the selection process, all applicants are asked to complete a SJT which will provide a top level view of potential strengths and development areas based upon how they answered the hypothetical questions.
