Our Board of Governors is responsible for the direction of the College in the following areas.

Strategy: Governors constructively challenge and lead the development of strategy.

Performance: They scrutinise the performance of management with agreed goals and objectives and monitor the reporting of performance with particular focus on quality and finance.

Risk: Governors should satisfy themselves that all performance information is accurate and that financial controls and systems of risk management are robust and defensible.

Resources: Ensure the College is financially solvent and makes good use of its resources.

People: Governors are responsible for determining appropriate levels of remuneration for senior post-holders (i.e. the Executive Team) and the Clerk, and have a prime role in appointing, and where necessary removing, senior post-holders and the Clerk, and in succession planning.
