What are Skills Bootcamps?
Skills Bootcamps are flexible, short-term training programmes designed to equip individuals with the practical skills and knowledge needed to excel in specific industries or roles. These bootcamps focus on delivering hands-on experience, real-world projects, and mentorship from industry experts, making them an ideal choice for those looking to pivot their careers, enhance their skill sets, or even kick-start new ventures.
The flexibility and speed you can receive skills and knowledge is one of the primary factors influencing individuals to attend a Skills Bootcamp. Depending on the specific course, it's possible to achieve qualification in as little as 3 weeks, often with the convenience of attending college just one day a week.
Who is eligible for Skills Bootcamps?
If you're aged 19 and over, unemployed or self-employed, and looking to change sectors or progress in your current career, a Skills Bootcamp is right for you - and they can be FREE.

Electric Vehicle
Qualified and employed auto technicians can gain the skills and qualifications to work on Electric and Hybrid Electric Vehicles (EV/HEV) in our new training centre, which has received £500k of investment into new kit, staff training and improvements to learning spaces.
Simon studied the Electric Vehicle Skills Bootcamp and said: "I applied for a Skills Bootcamp as I needed to add to my existing skill set to keep pace with automotive technological advancement. My favourite aspects of the course were the knowledgeable lecturers, good facilities, not too far to travel and the course was heavily discounted.
"This course has helped me progress as an automotive technician because it has given me the confidence, knowledge and skills to safely maintain and repair electric vehicles. To anyone thinking of a Skills Bootcamp, don’t hesitate and just do it. You will not find better value for money with a good qualification at the end".
Construction
Upon completion, our Construction Skills Bootcamps students will be able to demonstrate a variety of skills in the construction industry. This includes principles of safety, safe moving and handling, working at heights and a practical introduction to the construction trade skills including bricklaying, carpentry, plumbing and electrical.
