Gloucestershire College Launches New Flexible Apprenticeship Start Dates For Engineering and Construction

An exciting new development offering flexibility and reassurance to businesses in these challenging times, Gloucestershire College is offering a full apprenticeship start programme in January 2021 for the first time.

Traditionally for some apprenticeship areas such as engineering and construction, Gloucestershire College have only allowed new starters to join in September. The College will now have two entry dates for the next academic year, allowing apprentices to start in both September 2020 and January 2021.

“Employers are telling us that they need flexibility due to the uncertainty around lockdown restrictions, so at Gloucestershire College, we’re ensuring that we meet the needs of our employers by being agile, innovative and adaptable.”

– Julie Tegg, Director of Apprenticeships and Employer Training

Throughout lockdown, Gloucestershire College has been supporting apprentices and employers to continue with their programmes by delivering online learning and remote assessments, ensuring progression is in no way halted.

By developing a whole programme of January 2021 start dates, Gloucestershire College is providing local businesses with flexible solutions to suit their individual needs.
