Our first business event in our brand new Forest of Dean Campus - calling all local businesses!

6 November 2018

Friday 9 November, 11.30am to 2pm, Gloucestershire College Forest of Dean Campus

We are inviting Gloucestershire businesses to an event hosted with Circle2Success at our brand new Forest of Dean Campus, where they can have a tour of the facilities and enjoy a delicious lunch in The View Restaurant which is run by GC Catering students.

The event is free to attend and will take place on Friday 9 November at the Forest Campus from 11.30am to 2pm. Attendees will be welcomed by Andy Bates, our Chief Financial Officer, and hear about the exciting plans for our new campus and what it has to offer the business community in the Forest of Dean. They can then enjoy a full tour of the modern facility and a lunch freshly prepared by our Catering students in The View Restaurant.

It is an opportunity for local businesses to take a look at the Forest of Dean Campus in the stunning rural location of Cinderford. The campus is designed to be environmentally friendly and packed with contemporary facilities, purpose built construction workshops kitted out with industry standard tools and equipment, as well as new art studios and creative workshops.

Our talented catering and hospitality students that will be preparing the lunch work in the on-site, commercial restaurant. Other facilities include a large theatre, an infinity photography studio, modern library and Graduations Hair and Beauty salon, in which students can hone their trades on real clients. The impressive campus is also home to our outdoor education courses.

Our Chief Financial Officer Andy Bates said: “We are excited to host this event with Circle2Success and welcome local businesses to our beautiful new Forest of Dean Campus, which was built to provide a purpose-built facility delivering vocational and academic programmes as part of the Cinderford Northern Quarter regeneration. We are excited to support businesses in the Forest of Dean and talk to them about skills and apprenticeships and how we can help. The Forest has a lot to offer young people and we are pleased to support local businesses with professional training and apprenticeship opportunities to retain talent in the local area. We are very proud of the facilities it offers.”
