Top chefs to celebrate one year of The Chefs’ Forum Academy

Three of the region’s leading chefs will be cooking up a storm in our Restaurant No.1 kitchen later this month, when we play host to The Chefs’ Forum Academy Showcase; celebrating one year of the exciting partnership.
On Monday 16 October, Richard Davies (Calcot Manor), Jon Howe (Lumiere) and Daniel Moon (Dan Moon the The Gainsborough) will work with our Hospitality and Catering students to prepare a range of dishes for guests at the event, which will also feature a mini trade show and talks by our Hospitality Lecturer Mark Hyde-Catton and Catherine Farinha on The Chefs’ Forum Academy – One Year On.
The chefs and students will also prepare a trio of signature dishes from their menus, before Daniel Moon joins forces with Jack Cook from Walter Rose for The Butcher & The Chef and afternoon tea is prepared by The Chefs’ Forum delegates.
The Chefs’ Forum bridges the gap between education and industry by bringing in top chefs, suppliers and industry experts into college to work with students and share knowledge on specialist subjects spanning butchery, pastry, seasonality, sous vide, CV skills, world food, game and foraging.
Find out more about the partnership on The Chefs’ Forum Academy blog and keep an eye out for pictures of the event later this month.
