Healthcare employers invited to free event at Gloucestershire College
Healthcare organisations in the Forest of Dean and surrounding areas are invited to a free event at Gloucestershire College’s Forest of Dean Campus on Wednesday 22 February, from 10am to 1.30pm.
The ‘Caring Locally’ event is aimed at helping employers in the Healthcare Sector understand the range of training and staffing options available to them, and the benefits of taking apprentices and students on work placements.
The event will feature talks on topics including apprenticeships, work placements, the forthcoming apprenticeship levy and the free training available to local organisations through Gloucestershire College. There will also be an opportunity to meet current GC healthcare students and network with other local healthcare organisations, as well as a complimentary lunch.
The event has been organised by the GC Business Development Team, who are dedicated to working with local companies, to help them find the right apprentices for their business, or training courses for their workforce.
Gloucestershire College is working in partnership with Serco and the Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) to support small and medium-sized enterprises in the county to develop and progress their workforce. Through the ‘Support the Workforce’ programme, the College is offering free training to companies, to upskill their employees in areas like first aid, manual handling and team leading.
Representatives from healthcare companies can book their place at the event by visiting: www.gloscol.ac.uk/events
