Gloucestershire College is key sponsor at county’s Business Awards
Gloucestershire College will be amongst those celebrating the achievements of local businesses, at the 2016 Gloucestershire Business Awards on Thursday 6 October. The annual awards ceremony puts businesses in the county in the spotlight, and acknowledges new talent and success amongst Gloucestershire’s firms and business people.
The College is sponsoring the Growth Business of the Year award, which will recognise an outstanding business whose success is demonstrated by an increase in sales, profit, market share or business expansion over the last three years. The companies shortlisted for the award are Advanced Insulation Ltd, Passionate About People and CEMAR.
The event will be held at the Centaur at Cheltenham Racecourse with a 1920s theme. This year there are 13 categories including Marketing Campaign of the Year, Small Business of the Year, Family Business of the Year and Best Place to Work. The full list of awards and finalists is available here.
GC Vice Principal Peter White said: “The Awards are the highlight of the business calendar for companies in Gloucestershire, enabling companies of all sizes to come together to recognise each other’s contribution to our thriving business sector, from long established firms to innovative start-ups and family businesses.
“At Gloucestershire College, we recognise the importance of maintaining strong links with local businesses to stay current in our training and provide the best work experience and employment opportunities for our students.
“We’re proud to sponsor a category at the Business Awards for the third year running and wish all the nominees the best of luck.”
