Gloucestershire College Offers Post-GCSE Advice
Gloucestershire College will be offering advice and guidance to young people and their parents at its Post-GCSE Advice Day on Friday 26 August.
The College’s dedicated Advice and Guidance Team will be on hand at all three of its campuses in Gloucester, Cheltenham and the Forest of Dean, to help visitors understand their education options and advise them on the right path to achieving their career goals.
The events run from 10am to 4pm, and are a must for anyone who isn’t sure what to do after opening their GCSE results this Thursday, or those who have changed their mind about what to study.
The team can provide advice to both young people and adult learners on the wide range of educational pathways offered by the College, including A Levels, vocational courses, apprenticeships and professional courses. Student Services will also be available to help with applications, funding and the other practicalities of enrolling on a course this September.
Steve Weldon, Advice and Guidance Manager, said:
“The Advice Events at Gloucestershire College provide a great opportunity for students and their parents to understand all of the educational options available and feel confident in making the right choice about their next steps.
“Student Services will be available to take applications and help with questions about course funding and the Advice & Guidance Team can help if you’re not sure where to start.
“Tutors from each College course will be there to discuss the content of qualifications, and what they could lead to, and offer a place on their course if it’s suitable.
“So whether you need to have a rethink following results, are just starting the decision making process, or you want to ensure that you’re heading in the right direction – the Advice & Guidance Team at Gloucestershire College is here to help you to make the right choice.”
