Always dreamed of being able to speak the lingo of your holidays? Or maybe you dream of travelling the world to teach English in other countries or using languages in your career. Whatever your goal, the latest range of part-time language courses at Gloucestershire College can help you on your way.

Language courses begin in September across the College’s three campuses in Cheltenham, Gloucester and Forest of Dean. Classes in French, German, Spanish and Italian will be taught at levels ranging from beginner to upper intermediate, with English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) also available.

CELTA programmes (Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) are available on a full and part-time basis and internationally recognised. They provide learners with the skills, knowledge and hands on practice required to follow a rewarding career in teaching English at home or abroad.

Gloucestershire College’s CELTA courses are validated by the University of Cambridge and open to anyone, even those without teaching experience.

Vice Principal Peter White said: “Our languages courses are hugely popular due to the fact they open up a wealth of opportunities for using languages in business and socially.

“We offer courses on a flexible, part-time basis to fit in with busy lives and cater to a range of abilities, from those seeking basic conversational skills for a holiday to those working for companies with international links looking to upskill.”

Languages are just one of the many areas of study available to part-time students at Gloucestershire College, with options across subjects including: Arts, Media and Music; Business, Administration, Management, Finance and IT; Catering and Hospitality; Counselling; Construction and Building Services; Engineering; Hairdressing, Beauty and Holistic Therapies; Sport and Fitness; and Teacher Training.
