GC featured in county's Top 100 Businesses
Gloucestershire College has made it on to the county’s annual Top 100 Businesses list for a second year running, placing 66th overall.
The list, which is compiled by the Gloucester Citizen, Gloucestershire Echo and SouthWestBusiness.co.uk, ranks companies based on turnover and number of employees. It forms part of a 32-page supplement celebrating the Gloucestershire-based talent, skills and innovation driving the economy.
The College works with a number of the local employers featured in the list, such as fashion brand Superdry, construction company E G Carter and electrical contractor Clarkson Evans, all of which collaborate with the College on apprenticeships and work-related training.
Vice Principal Peter White said: “We’re delighted to be featured amongst the top businesses in the county once again this year, and it’s especially pleasing to see many of the companies we work with on the list.
"Our strong partnerships with local businesses give our students the opportunity to gain invaluable work experience and industry insight, which in turn fills local skills gaps and contributes to the growth of the local economy, as employers are able to take on motivated and qualified staff who can help take their businesses forward."
