Gloucestershire College’s Creative Academies will be showcasing graduating students’ work in a series of shows open to the public this month, entitled Space.

First up, Cheltenham Fashion Academy will team up with the University of Gloucestershire and Art Couture Painswick to show off their designs on the catwalk on Friday 12 June. Taking place at the university’s Francis Hall Chapel, schools and colleges are invited to a free show at 2pm, after which there will be a public show at 7.30pm, with entry costing just £3 per person.

Then on Monday 22 June, Graphic Design students will open their exhibition at 7pm at 16 Commercial Road, Gloucester, after which the show will be open daily until Friday 26 June.

Also on Monday 22 June, Art and Design students will open their exhibition at 7pm at Gloucester Campus, with this show open also open daily until Friday 26 June.

Following their recent trip to Cannes Festival, the College’s Film students will premiere their own blockbusters from 7pm at Cineworld and 16 Commercial Road, Gloucester, also on Monday 22 June.

Students’ families, friends and members of the public are more than welcome at all four shows, to see just what exciting projects they have been working on the past year. It’s also a great opportunity for prospective students to get a flavour of the creative course they would like to study at Gloucestershire College in September.

Graphic Design Course Leader, Jess Phillips, said: All the students in the Creative Academies have worked amazingly hard this year, and the Graduate Shows are the culmination of this hard word and the skills they have learnt whilst they have been with us at GC.

“The shows are across multiple locations in Gloucester this year and promises to be creative, exciting and well worth taking the time to look around.”
