GC Business Hub Seminar: Apprenticeship Reforms and Levy Update

16 June 2016 at 8:00 until 10:00

PLEASE NOTE - This seminar has now been cancelled.

Vice Principal, Peter White and a representative from the South West Apprenticeship Company (SWAC) will instead be conducting a drop-in session from 8am to talk local businesses through the reforms and provide one-to-one advice on preparing for the apprenticeship levy. If you would like to attend, please arrive between 8 and 8.30am.

A series of reforms in the way apprenticeships will work are being implemented by the government as part of their plans to increase the number of apprenticeships to 3 million by 2020. This includes a new levy to be paid by employers with a wage bill of more than 3 million pounds due to commence in April 2017.

New guidance for employers was published by the government on April 21 this year, including details on how money paid into the levy will be accessed.
