Junior Residential Summer School

Junior Residential Summer School (12-17yrs)

Hartpury (independent & group bookings) - July 2021 (dates tbc)

We have been proudly welcoming students from all over the globe (over 35 different nationalities) for many years. Our multi-national Summer School creates a safe, friendly environment for our students to meet and learn about each other's culture. Lifelong friendships are made here, alongside the life skills that studying abroad always brings. Culturally enriching and fun - Summer Schools are all about learning English, making new friends and experiencing British culture.

Why choose GC?

The Junior Residential Summer School is held at Hartpury College, just ten-fifteen minutes from GC's Gloucester campus. With a 360-hectare estate, Hartpury is home to a £50 million invested campus, world-renowned sport and equine facilities and stunning English countryside views. With modern accommodation in single or twin en-suite rooms, games rooms, restaurants and bars, Hartpury has everything you will need on-site. Just a short distance away is the city of Gloucester, with its famous Cathedral (used as a set in the Harry Potter films) and the docks, where tall ships can be seen. Our centres in Cheltenham, Gloucester and Hartpury are only a few kilometres apart and are connected by frequent bus and train services.  In addition, both are within easy reach of cities such as London, Birmingham, Oxford, Bath, Bristol and Cardiff – so are easily reached from UK ports and airports

Students can study for 2 weeks. The emphasis is on making learning English fun, so students can expect a varied and interesting time during lessons taught by our team of qualified and dedicated teachers. Our teachers use successful and interactive methods that encourage students to take an active role in lessons and build their confidence. Verbal skills are the focus, with language games, role-play, group discussions and activities throughout. Students will explore new techniques to improve their listening and reading skills, using Ipads and digital apps. There are usually two excursion days per week, one half-day midweek and one full-day on a Saturday. On other weekdays and evenings, you will choose from a range of different sports and cultural activities, which will give you the chance to learn new things, experience British culture and make friends from all over the world.
