English as a Foreign Language (EFL)

Our English language courses are available part-time or full-time from one week to a full academic year, for work, study or leisure. Based at the Cheltenham campus, you will be studying in the Languages Department with access to the International Learning Gateway with it's own computer facilities and a range of books to support your learning.

We teach English as a Foreign Language to a variety of levels, we will assess your level of English with a test, written assessment and an interview with one of our teachers when you arrive. This helps us to find the appropriate group for your English level, the maximum class size is 16 and usually an average of 10. Students usually study EFL for a full term.
