Jess Hopkins
I wanted to continue working in early years locally but progress my career at the same time. An apprenticeship with GC was the perfect option for this. I really liked the flexibility of the course, I could do evenings and study weekends that fit in around my working hours.
I made great relationships with the lecturers, they understood my skillset and really supported me. They still ask me how I am and what I’m doing when I see them now.
Every day is different in this profession and I learn more every day. We are a close knit team due to the nature of the job and this reliance on each other really works for a sociable person like me.
I might move on to teaching one day but for now I am really enjoying my job.
