Studying to gain new qualifications as an adult can lead to new opportunities, increased job satisfaction and higher earnings. Come to our Professional and Higher Education Open Evening: Wednesday 5 April 2017 to learn more and apply!
Secure your place by 31 May 2017. Grab your last chance before September to explore fully explore our campuses; learn about our unique Student Development Programme; and speak to our GC Advice Team for expert advice and guidance on all of your options.
Would you like to know more about post-GCSE education options? If your child is considering their next steps join us for a Parent Information Session this April. Our experts will help clarify all of the Post-GCSE options and opportunities available so you can support them at this important time.
Try a new skill, learn a new craft, make new friends; enrol on one of our adult leisure courses from this section of our website.
Our tutors are all passionate about their subject, they are working practioners or have expertise and experience to share. The classes are held in a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere suited to an adult audience.
Exciting new courses this year include: DIY Basic Home Maintenance (bring along a family member over 14 for free); Leather Bag Making; Introduction to Digital Media.
While there are no formal qualifications, you will have plenty of opportunity to practice your chosen subject with guidance and relevant background information from your tutor. We encourage you to keep a log or diary so you can recall your learning journey.
Most of the courses take place in the evenings; if you’re coming straight from work why not stop for some refreshments in our refectory or food outlets.
We also run a programme of recreational courses for adults with learning difficulties or disabilities, see our Adult Community and ALDD page for course titles prefixed with “ALDD”.
