The catering and hospitality sector continues to be one of the UK’s largest industries experiencing significant growth.

The job opportunities in this sector are vast, and qualifications available at GC can provide you with the skills and knowledge for an exciting career choice, either to start your own business or to join an established catering company, restaurant or hotel.

GC courses provide you with a wide array of career options – including chef, food and beverage manager, patisserie and confectionery chef and hospitality manager. We offer a wide variety of courses to suit school leavers, those pursuing a career change, or keen cooks wanting to simply learn a new skill or develop their culinary skills further.

Courses are taught by award winning industry expert chefs in our first class training kitchens at both our Cheltenham campus and Forest of Dean campus.

Former student at GlosCol. I have worked in restaurants as a Sous chef with 1 -2 rosettes in Monmouthshire, Gloucestershire & Herefordshire and Head Chef at a Successful Gastro pub. Sous Chef at a Hotel in the French Alps. Chef/lecturer teaching professional cookery and professional chef course from level 1 – 3.

I have worked in numerous country house hotels and climbed the career ladder from pastry commis at 1 rosette hotel up to Head Pastry Chef at 3 rosettes & Michelin Red M hotels including Poppies restaurant in Shropshire, and Hollington House Hotel in Berkshire.

I’m qualified up to MasterChef’s certificate, specialising to advanced certificates for Patissiers; cake decorating; and sugar artistry. I am particularly passionate about growing the patisserie and confectionary offering at GC.
