Summary
There will be a mixture of theory workbooks to complete in order to demonstrate knowledge and then your practical skills will be recognised through site visits and other assessment methods by the College assessor who will observe you and carry out assessments to determine your competence
To achieve this qualification a minimum of 9 units need to be attained. This comprises of 8 units from the Mandatory Group and 1 unit from the Optional Group.

Erecting masonry to form architectural and decorative structures in the workplace
Erecting Masonry Structures in the Workplace
Erecting Masonry Cladding in the Workplace
Developing and Maintaining Good Occupational Working Relationships in the Workplace
Conforming to General Health, Safety and Welfare in the Workplace
Confirming Work Activities and Resources for an Occupational Work Area in the Workplace
Confirming the Occupational Method of Work in the Workplace

Repairing and Maintaining masonry structures in the workplace
Installing drainage in the workplace
Installing and forming specialist masonry elements in the workplace
Erecting Thin Joint Masonry Structures in the workplace
Assessment
You will be assessed through a variety of methods including workplace assessments, witness testimonies, product evidence and theory workbooks
Additional information (Can be information on the facilities or any exciting projects previous students have worked on)
Experience of working in the construction industry as a bricklayer
Previous achievement of a level 2 bricklaying qualification is not required but you will need to have some supervisor duties to achieve this qualification.
We will discuss with you your knowledge and skills to ensure you have the range, skills and scope of work in order to complete this qualification.
