Motor Vehicle Diploma

Students
This course will provide the opportunity to develop the skills you require for a rewarding career.
You will learn all aspects of motor vehicle engineering so that you really understand how a car works. You will be taught car maintenance by our experienced lecturers and you'll get to learn and practise your skills in our purpose built motor vehicle workshop. In fact these facilities are so good you will think you are working in a garage.
You will also learn about diagnosing vehicle transmission faults, electrical system faults, engine faults and chassis system faults. You will be assessed by the tutors throughout the course on both the theory and practical aspects of the course.
You will need steel toe capped shoes and a set of overalls that will protect your clothes and body. You will be informed before you begin the course of anything else you may need to buy.
Gloucestershire College recognises the importance of all learners getting the Maths and English qualifications that they will need to be successful in their chosen career. For this reason all full-time learners who have not achieved Grade A*-C (grade 4) Maths or English Language GCSE will work towards these qualifications as part of their studies.
