This course is suitable for those requiring the minimum of first aid training in accordance with the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations. 

This one day course is delivered within a relaxed atmosphere that is designed to promote confidence and includes both theory and practical sessions in the below topics: 

  • CPR and the Unconscious Casualty
  • Wounds and Bleeding
  • Burns and Scalds
  • Choking
  • First Aid Priorities
  • Managing Incidents
  • Minor Injuries
  • First Aid Regulations, Reporting and Recording 

Certification is dependent on successful continuous assessment of the candidate as well as a final multiple choice assessment.

Upon successful completion of this course a certificate is issued which is valid for three years.

  • These courses will be free of charge for learners aged 19 and over (as at 31st August of the academic year) in receipt of certain benefits or employed learners earning less than £20,319.00 annual gross salary.
