Photography - Beginners
-
Students
This course is suitable for beginners who want to develop their photography skills, focusing on improving their everyday photography to help create stronger images of their chosen interests.
During the course learners will be encouraged to create a range of photographic work, which can be developed further outside the class, such as taking advantage of utilising the local scenery around Gloucester. We will explore a broad overview of different areas of photography, with tips and techniques to help with using and getting the most from camera features and creating interesting images.
You will develop:
- An awareness and appreciation of visual skills, such as composition, observing light.
- An overview about camera features, such as different camera modes.
- An ability to discuss photography in general and about your own and other’s work.
The classes are relaxed and friendly, and each session is designed to help learners develop their photographic skills through creating and sharing work for feedback. Your tutor will regularly review your activities and offer support and guidance. As this course is part of our leisure programme there is no formal assessment or qualification. You will need to bring your own camera equipment, as well as a pen and paper.
