This course will give you the opportunity to learn about the skills and knowledge required for a career in Health and Social Care, and will prepare you for this sector of work.

A fee is charged for the DBS check. You will be advised on a text book to purchase and you may be asked to pay for educational visits that will take place during the course. Should an exam resit be required, an additional fee of £15 will be charged by the College.
The course will appeal to students who have a keen interest in Health and Social Care, and wish to study a practical work related course. These qualifications will be assessed by external exams, coursework and projects, assignments, presentations and practical activities completed at work placement. There is a dedicated Placement Officer who will help you find a suitable placement setting and will track and log your placement hours throughout the course
At Gloucestershire College we want students to develop their English and Maths skills so that they achieve their learning goals and future career aims. For this reason all full-time students who have not achieved grade A* to C or Level 4 or above English language or maths GCSE will study these subjects as part of their course.
