Find out more about Foundation Studies

Foundation studies is a dedicated department that supports students with SEND needs. The focus of the department is to prepare students for adulthood or support them into employment through an employability pathway.

Students that attend the department have a variety of additional needs and or barriers to learning. Students would have previously had some additional support at school through teaching assistants, bespoke classes, or exam arrangements.

The department prides itself on the additional support it can provide students, such as small group sizes, teaching assistant support, pastoral support, employability mentors and more. The support is tailored to each individual and works alongside the EHCP, My Plan or My Plan+ recommendations.
