Repairs Assistant x4

Centigen FM Ltd

To assist the trades person in ensuring that maintenance and refurbishment of the properties is undertaken in the most efficient way. Ensuring that the quality of work is to a high standard. This is a great opportunity to learn first hand from a trades person skills such as carpentry, plumbing and other repairs. Which will enable you to develop your skills and knowledge for the future. The role is adaptable for grounds maintenace and cleaning roles too. Transport available if needed. 

Climate Action Support Officer x 1 

Forest of Dean District Council

This role sits within the Sustainability Team who work on Climate Change, Ecology, Landscape and tree matters. You will be given your own individual project, contributing to each team's collective work programme. A project will be selected based on the team's priorities at the point of recruitment. An example may include an initiative for energy and carbon reduction across the Council's estate or biodiversity and tree planting on land within the Council's stewardship.

Support with marketing, including social media on Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram. Opportunity to learn platforms including Hootsuite; Miro; Asana; Mailchimp. Writing and editing social media and blog posts. Cleansing and managing the customer database. Market research relevant to day-to-day work. Support and administration of online training courses including formatting PPT or other presentation packages, use of images, design of presentations.

Reading Partner x 2

Newnham St Peter's C of E School

Training will be provided to deliver the school’s key reading strategies. During the day you will provide continuous and systematic reading opportunities for individual children and small groups of pupils. You will consult frequently with the classroom teachers on matters relating to reading instruction. The school’s Reading Leader will provide you with ongoing support and training. You will be required to carry out and maintain routine filing or other record keeping requirements associated with classroom pupil records as well as individual assessments. There will be opportunities to work with staff in school to develop a wider love of reading by sharing books with children. You will assist teaching staff or teaching assistants where required, to meet the welfare or personal needs of pupils.

Play Partner x 1

Newnham of St Peter's C of E School

In this role you will provide valuable support to the teaching staff; working with others to delivered play opportunities. Some of these will be based in the school’s forest school area. You will also be able to work with the midday supervisors, leading playground games. During wrap around care you will be part of a small team providing children with free play activities as well as arts and craft and board games. The nature of the work will normally be well defined but there will be opportunities for you to be creative an input on activities.

Groundsperson x 1

Newnham of St Peter's C of E School

Jobs will include maintaining outside areas, weeding, hedge trimming, strimming, maintaining allotment spaces, clearing paths and playground areas. low level maintenance such as fence painting. There will be opportunities to further develop the school’s outdoor areas with a focusing improving the natural environment around the school and giving children further opportunities to explore nature.

Grounds Maintenance Assistant x 1

Perrygrove Railway

The Grounds Maintenance Assistant will be responsible for the day-to-day appearance of the site at Perrygrove Railway. This will include grass cutting, hedge cutting, leaf blowing, strimming, weeding, planting, tree trimming etc.

Shop Assistant x 1

The Recycling Shop

Your key responsibilities will be to work on the shop floor, taking in and sorting donations, using the till, putting stock out on display and greeting customers and helping them with requests for assistance. Other duties will include some cleaning and washing up in rota form.


Trainee Chef x 1

Tudor Farmhouse Hotel

To assist in basic kitchen preparation including peeling and slicing of potatoes, preparing vegetables and salads etc. To assist in the preparation of all dishes during service. Ensuring fridges / freezers are cleaned and stocked as necessary and take appropriate temperatures. To clean kitchen preparation areas, including work tops, floors, tiles and equipment using the prescribed detergents.

Food and Beverage Assistant x 1

Tudor Farmhouse Hotel

To provide a service to customers using the restaurants for breakfast, lunch and dinner service, ensuring that the prescribed procedures are adhered to and standards of service maintained to the highest levels. To prepare the restaurants for service, including laying pre and post service, cutlery polishing and cleaning. To cover reception duties as required, including check in/out, reservations and billing. Ensure that all food and beverage areas are cleaned to the highest standards. To assist with the health and safety duties.

Kitchen Assistant x 1

To be available for training as required. Ensuring fridges / freezers are cleaned and stocked as necessary. To deep clean kitchen on a regular basis, including dishwasher, extracts, oven & grill.

Trainee Carpenter x1

2FX Carpentry

Site based trainee carpenter. Based at a new build housing site in Coleford Glos. Will be working one on one with company director on interior / 2nd & final fixing on new homes. Position is highly likely to become permanent and lead to a possible apprenticeship for the right person.
