Course Delivery and Structure
What you will learn:
- Planning and use of goods vehicles in the logistics sector.
- Health, safety and security,
- Regulatory requirements, communication,
- Route planning, and monitoring the vehicle and load during transportation,
- Driver Certificate Professional Competence (CPC), for example vehicle security, vehicle checks and physical and mental wellbeing.
This course is FREE. Our training is fully funded for those registered as unemployed, proof of unemployment will be required prior to enrolment. You must also hold a current full UK driving licence.
An initial assessment in Maths and English will need to be undertaken to ensure that the learner is at Entry Level 3 or above, to be able to enrol onto the course. A reasonable level of both written and spoken English are essential. You will also be required to produce ID (Passport or Birth Certificate) and meet the full eligibility criteria.
The course will be delivered full time at 5 days per week over 2 weeks for the classroom sessions.
This is followed by a minimum 5-day Practical Driving Training course delivered over 1 week. Dates for this course may not follow on directly due to DVLA examiner availability. (Learners must attend every day in order to gain their initial CPC certificate after the practical).
You must be able to attend daily from 09.00am - 5.00pm.
