To make sure you are well-prepared for your enrolment date, you will receive a letter, email and text from us giving you your enrolment date in September so you have plenty of time to plan.

I didn’t get the GCSE grades that I was hoping for and now don’t meet the entry criteria of the course I want to do, what should I do?
Please come and see us for our post GCSE advice day on Friday 25th August between 10am and 4pm where we will help you with your options. Tutors from each course will be available at the campus where the course runs.
If you are unable to make this date, still come along to the enrolment day you have been invited to and we can talk you through your options on the day.
I haven’t had an enrolment letter yet?
We will be posting out your invite to enrolment in either July or August.
If you applied before the 1st July you should receive your enrolment letter by the end of July.
We will also be sending you an email to confirm your enrolment date and time.
I’ve lost my enrolment letter, can I get another copy?
Yes of course, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and tell us your name and date of birth and we will resend you your enrolment details.
How long will it take to enrol?
You will be with us for a few hours on the day as we take you through the 10 steps of the Road to Enrolment
I need to complete my online initial assessment, how can I do this?

I have international qualifications, do I need to do anything before enrolment?
If you already have a translation of your qualifications please bring this along with you on the day. If not then please contact Student Services who will be able to advise you on your next steps.
When is my first day in College?
If it’s the first year of your course, you will be given a timetable for your course and the date for your induction at enrolment.
If it’s the second year of your course you will be sent a letter in August with a timetable detailing your first day back in September.
For new students enrolled onto a full time course at either our Cheltenham or Forest of Dean campus you will need to attend an induction day on Wednesday 6th September.
If you are enrolled onto a course at our Gloucester campus you will have an induction day on either Thursday 7th September or Friday 8th September (the exact date will be confirmed at enrolment).
If you are a part time student or studying a Higher Education course your start date will be confirmed by your course tutor.
What financial help is available for course fees, kits, travel and Childcare?

What times are you open for me to speak to someone about a course?
If you haven’t yet applied and you would like to come and speak to us about your options our friendly team are available between 8.30am and 4.30pm Monday to Friday at all of our campuses throughout the summer.
Between the 11th September and the 22nd September we will be open between 9am and 12.30pm for full time course enquiries in Learner Lane.
For all other course enquires please visit Student Services between 8.30am and 5pm.
What if I don’t have my certificates (Mature students)?
If you are a mature student and you don’t have copies of your previous qualifications please speak to the course tutor who will be able to advise you on what you will need to bring for enrolment.
I haven’t made an application or studied with you previously, is it too late?
No - We will be accepting applications for our full time courses up until the 22nd September.
Please note that all conditional offers are subject to the following:
- Meeting the entry criteria for the course as outlined at gloscol.ac.uk
- Subject to availability of places on the course*
*Many of our courses are very popular and there may be limited places on some. In these circumstances priority may be assessed in relation to the time of application/acceptance of offer and meeting entry criteria. We may also assess the campus you are offered in relation to your postcode when the same course is run on a number of campuses. Please be reassured that this relates to only a small number of courses and we will always contact you to offer a suitable alternative.
I don’t know which course I would like to do, can I come and speak to someone about my options?
Yes, if you’re not sure where to start with your course options then we have a friendly Advice & Guidance team who you can meet with for a 1 to 1 discussion. Please contact 01452 563210 or email email@example.com to book an appointment.
I would like to know more about a part-time or recreational course, who should I contact?
Please contact our friendly Student Support team on 0345 155 2020 to find out more about our part time and recreational courses and they will be able to give you more information about the courses we offer and explain our enrolment process.
I have course fees to pay, how can these be paid?
Once you have enrolled you are able to pay for your course fees in a number of ways:
- By debit or credit card - over the phone or in Student Services
- Direct Debit
I have lost my timetable that I was given at enrolment, how can I get another copy?
On the day you enrolled you will have been sent a text message with a link to your timetable. You can also access your timetable on the student landing page. If you need help accessing the student landing page please visit the library.
I have decided that I want to change the course I have enrolled onto, is this possible?
Deciding to change your course is a big decision so we have put support in place to help you with this. Please speak to your Learner Mentor who will be able to help you, you can find them in the Student Hub at each campus.
