Making The Right Choice

Here are some things you may want to consider when making the right course choice at Gloucestershire College.

Consider your future goals; there’s more than one path to success ...

It may seem a little early to have a job in mind or you may already have a dream career. Either way consider what could suit your interests, skills and ambitions, as well as working out the progression routes through education to achieve your goals.

Do your research …

Look through GC's Prospectus or the Courses and Departments section of this website – both contain a huge range of information about all of the different courses on offer at each campus and the careers they can lead on to, as well as student and employer case studies and industry facts which might inspire you. Start searching!

Understanding your choice …

It’s important to know all about your options and the opportunities that all of our qualifications can provide, so we’ve included this handy guide to help you understand what they’re equivalent to.

It’s equally important that you understand the entry criteria for each of our courses so you can apply for the most suited course to your predicted or achieved qualifications.

Come to an Open Evening or Applicant Information Session…

When you’re looking at your options, it’s not only important to choose the course that’s right for you, but also to be confident that you’ll be in the best environment for your learning. We hold regular evenings throughout the year where you can check out our facilities, discover our courses, talk to our lecturers and see which classroom you’d be studying in. Visit our Open Evening information page or contact us to find out more about these events.

You don’t have to make the decision alone...

Still not sure … after all, it’s a big decision, and we want you to enjoy your study with us and progress on to a rewarding occupation.
