A break dancing workshop, led by an artist described as one of the best dancers in his field took place at Gloucestershire College on Wednesday 10th February.
The workshop was hosted by Banxy as part of the College’s GC Energy Enrichment strand. A veteran in UK Hip Hop dance, Banxy trained at Swindon Dance, the Northern School of Contemporary Dance and the London Studio Centre, and has since spent the last 15 years teaching and performing across the UK and abroad.
The two hour enrichment session was open to all students and gave the students the chance to learn challenging break dancing moves and explore their creativity.
All of the students who took part were very enthusiastic. One National Diploma in Musical Theatre student said, ”The session was good fun and I liked trying something new.”
Clare Ward, Student Leadership Manager said, “We were delighted to welcome Banxy to the College and the students who took part seemed to really enjoy the session! GC has developed an exciting enrichment programme to broaden students’ educational experience and to improve their health and well-being.”
