GC House Blog 16. Finishing touches at Porchester
With the summer break creeping up on us, we are putting in the finishing touches at our second student renovation property in Porchester Road, Gloucester.
COVID19 Update: We will be open to all students and apprentices from September. Click here for more info.
So far this term it's been all hands on deck at our second GC House, with a record number of students dropping in to develop their skills at the property.
Progress has continued at Porchester Road over the Easter period and we have a lot to update you on!
This week we were thrilled to find out that we have passed our National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contracting (NICEIC) Assessment, which means we are now able to sign off our own electrical work.
Following the success of the first GC House renovation project, we have now collected the keys to our next property, to be worked on by GC construction and building services students as part of their training.
The first GC student renovation property is now on the market with Gloucestershire estate agent, TwoCan.
The house is now carpeted throughout and the fencing of the garden is complete, so things are really taking shape inside and out!
This week we sum up the progress made over the last month and look ahead to the house going on the market.
