Step 1 – Think about what type of apprentices would benefit your business. You can utilise apprenticeship training across all areas of your business, at all stages of your employees career; we have a handy list of all the apprenticeships on offer on the GC website here.
Step 2 – Call or email the GC Business Hub to arrange your free consultation with one of our dedicated business consultants to discuss your business needs and how we can help you. We offer a free Training Needs Analysis to match your business goals with suitable apprenticeships and training.
Step 3 – We can save you time and money with our free apprenticeship recruitment service; we will advertise your vacancies and then pre-screen the applicants for you, leaving you to make the final decision. We advertise your vacancy across Gloucestershire websites such as GlosJobs and Indeed, as well as the GC website and the national government ‘find an apprenticeship’ website; plus, you have the option to advertise the vacancy as well.
Step 4 – After deciding on your apprentice you can offer them a contract of employment which you both agree on. One of our training coordinators will get in contact to set up a meeting and go through the apprenticeship standard or framework. The training coordinator will be your main point of contact throughout the apprenticeship, getting in contact every12 weeks to check on your apprentice’s progress.
