Thanks to our close partnerships with employers, we understand that it takes much more than just qualifications to be successful, and offer a learning experience like no other, with a unique student development programme to help each of our students stand out from the crowd.
Whether you want to be an engineer, designer, manager, chef, programmer, nurse or plasterer, we give you the opportunity to personalise and enhance your studies with work-related activities, volunteering, sports development and more; to help you develop the interpersonal skills employers and universities look for.
We work with over 650 of the county’s best businesses to offer award-winning apprenticeships across 17 industry areas; from accounting, business admin and dental nursing to engineering, hairdressing, construction and care. We shape our apprentices to meet real business needs; giving them invaluable work experience, alongside qualifications, to secure their future career.
Plus, find out more about our new Forest of Dean Campus, which will be welcoming students in September 2018. Situated in a stunning, rural location in Cinderford, the new campus is designed to be environmentally-friendly, packed with first-class facilities and easily accessible by car and regular bus services from around the county.
Principal Matthew Burgess said: “As well as providing a comprehensive range of qualifications, we focus on developing the skills that employers tell us they want; and enable students to achieve their potential in a supportive environment. Quite simply, we deliver learning that works.
“Although many young people are still unsure of what or where they would like to study, it’s a good idea to start looking at post-GCSE options in our new prospectus, which makes it easy to understand the different pathways, course types, levels, support and development programmes available at Gloucestershire College.
“I would also recommend visiting our campuses in Cheltenham, Gloucester and the Forest of Dean at a November Open Evening to view our facilities and meet our experienced lecturers, as well as our Advice and Guidance Team who can help you explore your options.”
