Achieve business goals and growth with GC
In response to regional demand, Gloucestershire College is launching a Business School to support county employers and enable them to achieve their business goals and growth targets.
The new offer is an extension of the GC Business Hub that will deliver a complete, training solution for all industries; incorporating a range of accredited leadership, management and professional qualifications to meet individual needs. Courses available via the Business School include: Leadership and Management, HR, Marketing, Finance and IT.
The courses available are designed to be flexible to enable employers to choose how and when staff train – online, on site or on campus – with a focus on supporting managers at key transition points in their careers to give them a clear understanding of how to use their personal capabilities to add greater value to their organisation.
Courses will be taught by industry experts and supported by state-of-the-art learning technologies across GC’s three campuses in Gloucester, Cheltenham and the Forest of Dean. Designed by thought leaders from across the spectrum of business, they promise to be practical, challenging and motivating; ultimately inspiring individuals to improve whichever business they work in.
Since the changes to apprenticeship funding earlier this year, all employers now have access to funding for new and existing staff training, resulting in an increased need for tailored training packages and apprenticeships that upskill workforces across all sectors.
The Business School will enable businesses to take their staff training to the next level, whilst giving employees an opportunity to continue professional development and maintain the high standards expected of the business.
Andy Bates, Chief Financial Officer, said: “We are excited to launch the Business School in order to make a measurable impact on the destination of businesses and learners through greater leadership, improved connectivity and exceptional teaching and learning.
“The bespoke training packages available through the Business School will not only upskill existing staff to meet with changing business landscapes and improve productivity, but also impact on talent management, staff engagement and retention.
“For individuals, the Business School will nurture professional development, boost your professionalism and credibility, and help you to build relationships and confidence networking with peers and influential stakeholders.
“We already work with hundreds of Gloucestershire’s best businesses and look forward to strengthening these relationships – and nurturing new ones – through the Business School.”
