Gloucestershire College is opening its doors to young people and their parents over the next couple of weeks for Post-GCSE Advice Events being held at each of its main campuses in Cheltenham, Gloucester and the Forest of Dean.

Whether they need help with course options, have changed their mind about what they want to do next, or aren’t quite sure what they can do next after opening their GCSE results this Thursday, they are welcome to drop in at the Post-GCSE Advice Day on Friday 21 August, between 10am and 6pm, to speak to a member of the College’s Advice and Guidance Team, Student Services and tutors from each course area.

Those who are unable to make this date can come along to any of the campuses for Post-GCSE Advice Evenings taking place daily from Monday 24 to Thursday 27 August, between 3pm and 6pm.

The friendly, dedicated teams will be on hand to help visitors understand their education options to enable them to reach their career goals – whether that be via A Levels, a hands-on vocational course, an apprenticeship or a professional course.

If you’ve just finished your A Levels, or would like to return to college as a mature learner, we can also help you look at your options including higher education, BTECs and Diplomas and professional qualifications – there’s so much to choose from.

Steve Weldon, Advice and Guidance Manager, said: “The post GCSE Advice Events at GC are a great opportunity for you to consider all of your options and be sure that you’re making the right choice about your next step.

“Student Services will be available to help with questions about course funding and financial support, and the Advice Team can help if you’re not sure where to start.

“Tutors from each of the College courses will be there to discuss the content of qualifications, whether they might be a good option for you, and what they could lead to.

“So whether you need to have a rethink following results, are just starting the decision making process, or you’re looking to ensure that you’re heading in the right direction – we’re ready and willing to help.”
