During its May Open Evenings earlier this year, Gloucestershire College held a competition for one lucky visitor to win four tickets to see The Vamps in concert at Westonbirt Arboretum on Sunday 21 June.

We’re delighted to announce that the winner was former Joys Green School pupil, 16-year-old Emily Boyce from Coleford, who is a big fan of the pop sensations.

Emily visited the Royal Forest of Dean Campus Open Evening with her mum to find out more about the College and courses it offers, as well as meet current staff and students to get an insight into College life and success rates.

She has since applied to study Early Years at the College and returned to the campus last week to collect her prize from the College’s PR and Copywriting Executive, Shelly McCatty.

Emily said: “I’m so excited to have won tickets to see The Vamps live at Westonbirt and had an amazing time with my mum and two friends.

"Thank you for the tickets - it was such a great night and we had so much fun watching not only The Vamps but three other bands before them!

“I’d love to be a Nursery Teacher when I’m older so am looking forward to starting my Early Years course at Gloucestershire College in September.”

The next round of College Open Evenings will take place on Monday 9 November at Gloucester Campus, Wednesday 11 November at Royal Forest of Dean Campus and Monday 16 November at Cheltenham Campus, with more exciting features and competitions to be announced in due course.
